One foot in front of the other…

We are now 2/3rds of the way through our ‘One Million Step Challenge’ in support of Diabetes UK. Diabetes affects more than 4.6 million people in the U.K and there is an estimated 1.3 million more people suffering with it undiagnosed.

What’s happening?

Our team have taken on the challenge of walking one million steps each between 1st July 2025 and 30th September 2025. That’s just over 10,800 steps a day!

How is everyone faring?

Our colleagues have been busy walking, some getting up early in the morning, some going out in the evenings after work and others walking over their weekends or at one of the team walks in Upminster.

Well done to Dan, who has walked 1,000,000 steps already (his recent walking holiday in Cornwall may have helped!), plus a huge congratulations to the team for their work so far – they have collectively walked 4,795,408 steps! Keep up the hard work!

Supporting Diabetes UK

We have raised £1,090 for Diabetes UK and would like to thank everyone that has donated so far. If you would like to sponsor us, please follow the link above.

If we raise £50, this could help fund a Diabetes UK helpline advisor for two hours, giving comfort and expert advice to those newly diagnosed or struggling to manage their condition. If we raise £150, this could help fund research into more effective treatments or potential cures, while £250 can support education sessions for healthcare professionals, helping them to improve the care they provide for thousands of people living with diabetes.

Our challenge continues through to 30th September 2025 and we will let you know how our colleagues get on!
