We’re stepping up for Diabetes UK!

For our Charity fundraising efforts this year, we’re proud to announce that we are supporting Diabetes UK, and we’re taking part in their inspiring One Million Step Challenge.

• From 1st July to 30th September 2025, seven of our colleagues are each aiming to walk at least one million steps — that’s over 10,000 steps a day!
• Diabetes UK is a vital charity working to improve the lives of millions of people affected by diabetes, funding groundbreaking research, providing support, and campaigning for better care.
• Around 4.6 million people in the UK suffer with Diabetes, with an estimated 1.3 million additional people suffering with it undiagnosed.

Every pound raised through this challenge makes a real difference. For example, if we raise £50, this could help fund a Diabetes UK helpline advisor for two hours, giving comfort and expert advice to those newly diagnosed or struggling to manage their condition. If we raise £150, this could help fund research into more effective treatments or potential cures, while £250 can support education sessions for healthcare professionals, helping them to improve the care they provide for thousands of people living with diabetes.

To keep things fun and motivating, our team is walking daily, tracking and reporting their step counts via our Diabetes UK webpage and we’ve introduced monthly group walks at the office in Upminster for a bit of staff camaraderie. We also have a weekly Leaderboard and will be awarding prizes for the top steppers in July, August and September. It’s all part of our effort to stay active, raise awareness, and support a cause that touches millions of lives across the UK.
