We’ve partnered with SignLive!
Watson Moore IFA has partnered with SignLive to provide services in British Sign Language (BSL) to clients. Which means we are able to speak with Deaf clients and BSL users over the telephone, as well as during client meetings, both face-to-face and online (via Zoom and Microsoft Teams for example) thanks to SignLive’s team of highly qualified and experienced interpreters.
This helps break down any barriers in communication, so that we can focus on providing the best financial advice to clients as possible and they know the entire firm here is accessible to them. A BSL user could otherwise have struggled to call our office, perhaps with a basic enquiry or to ask about booking in for a meeting, which therefore presented an immediate barrier to their accessing financial advice. By partnering with SignLive we now help address this barrier and improve access to financial services for BSL users.
All our staff have also received Deaf Awareness Training, helping them to consider the additional barriers Deaf clients and BSL users have to endure on a day-to-day basis and how we can better assist and support them in both overcoming these and ultimately in achieving their financial goals!
As far as we can tell, we are the first Independent Financial Adviser in the United Kingdom to partner with SignLive to offer this service and we hope to see many more join in the future. Please see the video below for more information:
